in a nutshell, i'm 25 and going through a quarter-life crisis. it exists; don't judge me.
i hail from the great east coast state of maryland. i grew up in frederick county, but ended up living everywhere from baltimore to spain (not spain, maryland--which doesn't exist; spain, the country in europe). i have a long story, but you can find most of it on my 100 boring things thingy.
i work a 9-5 regular monday-friday job. while i love it, i secretly have plans to rule the world. or a consulting firm/non profit organization. i think i've planned out the latter a bit better.
i am a melting pot of culture. i am parts african-american (born here to slave and sharecropper great(er)-grandparents), jamaican, irish, english, and american indian (cherokee and powhatan). so clearly my race is black (lol).
i have an awesome boyfriend named jesse (sometimes i will refer to him as j). we started off as best friends and then we added a couple extra titles. we've been together since february of 2010 and i don't see myself with anyone else. ever.
i love to cook and eat, and i make up something new at least once a week, so i will share my quick (and slow) meals with you, too.
i don't have any kids yet, so mostly here you will read stuff about family, food, friends, travel, weightloss, and poetry/prose. sometimes i will post editorial/opinion articles that i've written...
...and my attempts at becoming a published writer and a consulting firm/non-profit owner.
